We’re based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, and we work with owner-operators, small fleets, and local businesses across the region and beyond. Some of our early clients started calling us Drake Rapid — partly because the name fitted, and partly because the turnaround did. It's nothing more than a colloquial nickname: M J Drake Recovery Ltd is and remains the sole registered entity, and all agreements, invoices, and correspondence are issued under that name.

10% – 15% commission markupPreparation and handling of all transport paperwork: Broker Setup Packets, Carrier Onboarding forms, invoicing, and actively pursuing detention and layover fees from brokers on your behalf.
£40 – £60 / packet · or £150/mo per clientArrangement of emergency towing or vehicle logistics in West Yorkshire. When our own unit is unavailable, we act as dispatcher — routing jobs to our partner recovery networks for a rapid response.
£75 base + £2.00/mileSpecialised dispatch for UK owner-operators of multi-drop delivery vans — Sprinters and Transits — matching them with high-priority or same-day express courier contracts across the UK.

M J Drake Recovery Ltd acts as a dispatcher and intermediary — we are not a carrier and at no point take physical possession of goods. We work hard to match you with reliable hauliers and recovery operators, but we cannot be held responsible for delays, losses, or damage caused by third parties once a job is under way. Our liability for any claim arising from a service we have provided is limited to the fees you paid us for that specific service. If something goes wrong on the third-party side, we will do everything we can to help you resolve it — but the legal responsibility for the physical movement lies with the carrier or operator who performed it.
Any dispute should be raised in writing to [email protected] within 14 calendar days of the issue arising. We will acknowledge within 2 business days and endeavour to resolve all matters fairly. If a resolution cannot be reached by direct negotiation, both parties agree to attempt mediation through an independent UK mediation service before pursuing legal action.
These Terms and Conditions are governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute not resolved by mediation shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The current version is always accessible on this page. Placing an enquiry or entering into a service agreement after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
